Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pocki ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Pocki is a mobile document scanning application that uses on-device artificial intelligence to detect, enhance, and export scanned documents. All processing occurs locally on your device. Pocki does not store, transmit, or process your documents on any external server.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 4 years old to use Pocki. There are no age-restricted features. Minors should use the App under parental guidance where appropriate.

4. User Accounts

Pocki does not require or support user account creation. No personal information, email address, or credentials are collected to use the App.

5. License and Restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Pocki for personal and commercial document scanning purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
• Distribute, sublicense, lease, or lend the App to third parties
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Pocki offers a free tier with core functionality and an optional Pocki Pro subscription for premium features. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
• Prices may change with notice; continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Pocki, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Appendture. Your documents remain entirely your property — we claim no rights over content you create, scan, or process using the App.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is central to Pocki's design. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how Pocki handles (and does not collect) your data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pocki is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet all your requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Scan results will be perfectly accurate in all conditions

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appendture shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Appendture from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

12. Third-Party Services

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed and verified entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework. Apple's App Store terms apply to your download and use of the App.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Pocki at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your license to use the App is immediately revoked. Since all data is stored locally on your device, deletion of the App removes all associated data.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
